Merthi gudda is one of the beautiful hill-station in Karnataka it's located in Basarikatte near
Horanadu temple and is situated in chikmagalur district.
It is the highest peak in the range from where one can have a beautiful view from the peak. From one route trek is bit tricky and the plantations are very slippery. I Suggest not to try this in rainy season.
It lies in the Merthi-khan estate. To reach peak there is 3 route, in one of these route you have to take permission from the estate officials. when you are going in this route you will get a small cave called THAPSANE. From this cave small rill rises. When you reach the peak you can see KudureMuka, Sringeri, Horanadu. At the peak you can find a tiny Ganesh temple.
Sringeri , Sirimane falls, and Kudure muka these are the nearby places to visit.
Nearest airport is Mangaluru and it is 135 km distance. This place is 310 km away from Bengaluru.
